Less than 2 months until we meet this Little Boy!

Still having lots of contractions and just feeling generally sore. The families from our church have been so wonderful about helping watch our kids and bringing us meals - very thankful for God's provision here! My parents came on Saturday and will be here until the 27th, so Mom's taking great care of me this week too.

We saw the doctor last Friday and Baby's growth is right on track, even measuring a day ahead!!! He weighed in at about 3 1/2 pounds with an estimated due-date by measurements of Feb. 17. (Since Joshua was just under 5 pounds at term, this is AMAZING to me!!!)

My cervical length was 4.8!!! So in 3 1/2 weeks I've gone from 3.58 to 4.2 to 4.8. Can't figure out how the more contractions I have the longer my cervix gets, but it means Little Man isn't in nearly the rush to come visit as my body would like to make me think. I also had another ffn culture that was once again reassuringly negative.

I lost 2 pounds again by this appointment (for a pregnancy net gain of 1 pound at this point) and my urine sample indicated that I'm spilling lots of keytones, so my body is eating its own muscle right now to keep little one growing. I'm now on nausea medication to try to help with reflux and appetite.

Today is a day of joyful reflection. I was in labor with Joshua 6 years ago today. :D We are excited to celebrate the landmark of his birth with him tomorrow. Ruthi is quite eager for her turn on the 25th of next month when she will turn 3. (We had a few friends over on Saturday for Joshua's party, but haven't made any specific plans for Ruth yet because we will wait until closer to her birthday and see how things are going with her baby brother. I really wonder who will have the next birthday around here, Ruthi, or this little boy???)

I'm headed back to bed. It's so good to have my parents here this week, though I'm sad to report that they got rear-ended on their way over the mountain!!! (Praising the Lord for no injuries and only minor damage to the car, but of course any car damage costs $$$.)
