Next chapter in the life of an irritable uterus, or impending labor???

Our flooding of the weekend has turned to a hearty snowstorm this morning so we now have a nice layer of ice everywhere, covered by about 6+ inches of snow and still coming down in heavy, large flakes. I've been having quite a few contractions since last night...not coming in predictable patterns (maybe every 5 minutes for close to an hour, then a few hours with only a couple total), but they are overall stronger than they have been and some sequences of them are consistently hitting the minute mark.

We figure if this is going to turn into the "real thing" it will probably wait until we have several more inches of snow and it gets dark. At this point I'm not getting too excited and we are just taking a wait and see attitude. My guess is that we have about 1 in 4 odds of making a drive to L&D in the next 24 hours (so still thinking there's about 75% chance this is just the next chapter in the life of an irritable uterus and will not come to anything exciting in the long run).
