Another April...month of landmarks :)

15 years ago tonight, Rick asked me to marry him. He had already informed me months earlier that we would be married, and we had even set a wedding date and picked material for our bridesmaid dresses already, but April 26, 1991, was the night he got down on one knee, slipped a diamond onto my finger and made the plans officially public! I was seasick at the time, and so blown away that I had to question him on the drive home to be sure I had actually answered him with a "Yes!" He claims I did and I'm so thankful that God choose us for one another.

It seems like April has been a month of landmarks many years since...

April 1994 brought one of those defining moments to our lives, our first adoption loss and a stepping stone towards the creation of Hannah's Prayer.

April 1996 saw the launch of our first HP website at a time when the internet was new and online support almost unheard of. Thank you Rick!

April 1999 I recorded my first television interview, a brief story on infertility insurance reform for a local news station. Later that month we learned we were expecting Joshua! :)

April 2001 we learned Hannah was one the way (she would have been due on Joshua's second birthday).

April 2002 Ruthi was conceived.

April 2005 I had the joy of traveling to TX to attend the first international HP retreat.

April 2006 Jeremiah and I took his first airplane trip and our youngest became our first international traveler as we crossed the boarder into Canada the day before his 3-month birthday. I recorded my first show-length interview for a Christian television program.
